LOVE YOUR FAMILY – Leadership Begins at Home
Scripture:
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." Ephesians 5:25 (NIV)
Reflection:
The greatest leadership test is not found in the boardroom, on the jobsite, or in the public eye. It is found at home.
Long before God calls a man to influence others, He calls him to faithfully love those entrusted to his care. A Christian husband leads not through control, but through sacrifice. A Christian father shapes hearts not merely by his words, but by his daily example.
Your family doesn't need a perfect man.
They need a man who loves Jesus, admits when he falls short, seeks forgiveness and faithfully points them to Christ.
Because of God's grace, we are free from the burden of trying to earn His love. That same grace empowers us to love our families with patience, humility, forgiveness and steadfast commitment.
Leadership begins the moment your family sees Christ reflected in the way you live.
Reflection Question:
Read: Joshua 24:15 (NIV)
"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."
Ask yourself:
• Does my family see Christ in the way I speak to them?
• Am I leading with humility or simply trying to be in control?
• What one intentional act of love can I show my family today?
