BROTHERHOOD - Loving Other Men Well
Scripture:
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (NIV)
Reflection:
The enemy wants men isolated. Because isolated men are easier to discourage, easier to tempt, and easier to defeat.
God never intended His sons to fight alone.
From the beginning, believers have gathered together to pray, encourage one another, confess their struggles and remind each other of God's promises. Brotherhood isn't built on having everything in common - it is built on having Christ in common.
A godly brother tells the truth when it's difficult.
He celebrates your victories without envy.
He carries your burdens without judgment.
He points you back to Jesus when you've lost your way.
As Christian warriors, we aren't called to compete with one another. We are called to strengthen one another.
The strongest men are not those who stand alone.
They are the ones who stand shoulder to shoulder.
Reflection Question:
Read: Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."
Ask yourself:
• Who has God placed in my life to sharpen my faith?
• Am I intentionally encouraging another man to follow Christ?
• Is there someone I need to call, pray for or simply walk beside this week?
