CHOOSE TODAY. Every battle begins with a decision.
Scripture (NIV)
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
Reflection
Long before Joshua spoke those words, a decision had already been made in his heart.
He wasn't standing before the people trying to figure out what he believed. He already knew.
That's what resolve looks like.
Most of us won't face armies today. We won't stand before a nation and ask them to choose who they'll serve. But we'll all face smaller decisions that shape the kind of man we're becoming.
Will I begin my day with God or with my phone?
Will I speak with patience or frustration?
Will I chase what is easy or what is right?
Those decisions rarely feel dramatic, but they quietly determine the direction of our lives.
Putting on the Armor of God starts with making up your mind before the pressure comes. It's much easier to stand firm when you've already decided where you stand.
Every morning gives us another opportunity to make that choice.
Not perfectly.
Just intentionally.
Today, choose Christ again.
Reflection Question
What decision do you need to settle with God today before life tries to make it for you?
Prayer
Father, Thank You for giving me another day to walk with You. Before the distractions begin and before the pressures of today compete for my attention, help me choose You first. Give me the courage to stand for what is right, even when it's unpopular. Help me make decisions that honor You in my home, at work, and in every conversation I have today. As I put on the Armor of God, remind me that strength begins with surrender and victory begins with obedience. May my life point others to Jesus not because I have everything figured out, but because I keep choosing to follow Him.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
